hope valley

This bold, sculptural wall piece captures the distinctive contours of Derbyshire’s Hope Valley in striking detail. Starting life as a flat sheet of brass, the landscape is brought to life through precisely cut contour lines and carefully hand-formed relief, giving the piece real three-dimensional depth and presence. Each river & stream is engraved by hand, cutting bright gold traces through the blackened finish of the metal.

From the sweeping ridgelines of Mam Tor and Lose Hill to the sheltered valley floor, each layer traces the natural rise and fall of the terrain. Light and shadow shift across the surface throughout the day, accentuating the shape of the land and adding dynamic texture to your space.

Designed as a statement piece, this large-format map honours the rugged beauty of the Peak District and invites a tactile connection with the landscape. Whether it represents a favourite place, a treasured memory, or simply a love of wild terrain, it’s a piece to be lived with and looked at again and again.
