Dominated by the dramatic meandering path of the River Seine, the landscape of the city of Paris from a birds’ eye view is iconic. 

The map covers more than just the city of Paris, stretching from Sarcelles and Pontoise to the North to Juvisy-sur-Orge to the South, Versailles to the West and Champs-sur-Marne to the East.

The map itself is made from brass, which has been buffed to a matte satin finish. It features the accurate topography of the city, using contours at 30m intervals. The river is hand painted with a solution that blackens the metal, and the piece has been sealed with renaissance wax, ensuring a long-lasting finish.
