Wedding Day Map Tie Slides
Handmade silver tie slides, a new addition to my contour map jewellery range. I was inspired to make them as gifts for my husband to be and my Dad on my own wedding day this year (they both already had cufflinks, so it was time to think outside the box a little bit!). Tie slides (or tie clips) are an excellent addition to a wedding suit, or a jacket when worn vertically in the pocket even.
These tie slides are 8mm wide, but could be made to commission as narrow as 5mm or as wide as 10mm. The contour lines of the chosen landscapes are engraved by hand, using the hammer & chisel method. Both here are set with a pale blue sapphire as locations markers for ‘home’ within the maps, however, you could use a silver of gold granule instead, or no markers. There is an engraved message and wedding date on the reverse.
