'Patrick's Plot' gold ruby ring

I met J at Goldsmith’s North in Sheffield this summer. She was immediately taken by my work, and her friend was very encouraging - “treat yourself, you deserve it!”. After resisting her friends’ persuasions, they headed off for another lap around the grand hall, making sure to consider every stand thoroughly. She reappeared after a sit down with coffee and cake in the café - “There’s this special place near Ox Stones, do you think you could put it on a ring for me?”. J sadly lost her husband a few years ago, but she remembers him by visiting a beautiful patch of land, perched above the picturesque village of Hathersage in the Peak District. ‘Patrick’s Plot’ is the best place to sit, remember & enjoy the view. J decided to have the contours of this meaningful landscape hand engraved in 9ct yellow gold, on a 4mm wide band that she will wear every day on the ring finger of her right hand, so that even when she can’t visit Patrick, she only need glance down at her hand.
