Ashdown Forest 25th Wedding Anniversary Maps
R&S approached me 6 months ahead of their 25th wedding anniversary, ensuring plenty of time to get the design of their special pieces just right, to commemorate this milestone. I drew up a range of different designs for them to consider, allowing them to rule out one location they thought they might favour, due to how flat the landscape was. In the end, they settled for a little pocket of the Kent countryside, the place they got engaged back in 2000. S was keen to mark the spot with a ruby, to match the rubies in her engagement ring.
R’s ring is a 6mm wide, rose gold band with a light texture to the metal, giving a mottled background to the hand engraved contours that shine through. S’s pendant is hand cut in argentium silver, the rivers engraved by hand, and the ruby secured in an 18ct rose gold setting. She also opted for a paperclip chain, usually reserved for my charm necklaces, but I think this worked so well I will definitely be suggesting it as an option from now on! On the back of both pieces is a custom engraving, and the date of the proposal.
